— Reading of the report on the 2018-2019 academic year by the secretary-general of the University, Belén Castro. 
— Opening lecture The Universitat de recerca del segle XXI (“The Research University in the 20th Century”), by Dr. Andreu Mas-Colell, President of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST).
— Opening of the 2019-2020 academic year by Dr. Xavier Gil Mur, Rector of the International University of Catalonia.
— Speech by the Hon. Maria Àngels Chacón i Feixas, Catalan Government Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge.
— Singing of the university anthem Gaudeamus Igitur.
