Public hearing on the accreditation process of the Faculty of Law

Sala de Juntas del Rectorado

The Faculty of Law is currently immersed in the accreditation process for the bachelor's degree and master's degree programmes it offers. This process is described in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the  Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU).

On 8 October an External Evaluation Committee set up by AQU Catalunya will visit UIC Barcelona in order to evaluate the development of the degree programmes in the Faculty of Law in situ.  The accreditation visit has the following specific objectives:

  • to ensure the quality of the academic programmes offered, according to the levels of qualification established ans the criteria of the regulations in force;
  • to guarantee that there is viable and reliable information which helps users of the university system to make decisions, and
  • to facilitate the internal quality improvement processes and services developed for Catalan universities.

Among the various types of planned hearings a public hearing will be held which can be attended by people who are interested in expressing their opinion about the development of the Bachelor's Degree in Law and the University Master's Degree in the Legal Profession.

The public hearing will take place on 8 October at 2.30 p.m. in the Sala de Juntas in the Rector's Office.
