Periodontal plastic surgery is a contemporary discipline that provides clinicians with the tools to achieve excellent results in the interdisciplinary treatment of periodontal patients. The biological understanding of periodontal tissues is a key factor in developing predictable periodontal plastic surgery.

It is critically important to consolidate knowledge of the latest technical-scientific advancements in periodontal plastic therapy, which decisively influence the application of the most common treatments in daily clinical practice. Careful management of soft tissues is crucial for achieving long-term aesthetic and predictable results.

Most courses offer the opportunity to learn these techniques using dental mannequins. Taking the course at the International University of Catalonia provides the added benefit of utilizing the facilities of the Faculty of Dentistry, viewing live surgeries, and practicing on pig jaws.

Assessment method: An online self-assessment test will be carried out at the end of the course so that students can assess the  achievement  of their personal goals and their knowledge of the content of the course.
