L-PRF International Course. a New Concept of Natural Regeneration. Clinical Applications of Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin
Course Presentation
Leucocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF) concentrates: Choukroun’s PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is the latest development of these protocols. Here, blood is collected without any anticoagulant and immediately centrifuged. A natural coagulation process then occurs and allows for the easy collection of a leucocyteand platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF) clot, without the need for any biochemical modification of the blood. That means no anticoagulants, thrombin, or calcium chloride are required.
It has also been shown that L-PRF presents some other important applications such as Guided bone regeneration, sinus lift and periimplantitis from a new perspective.
The goal of this course is to show the characteristics of L-PRF and the applications in implant placement, ridge preservation, guided tissue and bone regeneration, sinus lift and periimplantitis.
Assessment method
An online self-assessment test will be carried out at the end of the course so that students can assess the achievement of their personal goals and their knowledge of the content of the course.
