Erasmus+ Traineeships for Recent Graduates

What is it?

Erasmus+ Traineeships for Recent Graduates enable individuals who recently earned an official bachelor's or master's degree from UIC Barcelona to gain practical work experience in another country in Europe. Unlike curricular traineeships, this practical work experience will not earn you ECTS recognition.

For how long?

From 2 to 12 months, depending on your area of study. Ask the work placement coordinator at your faculty.

Is it funded?

Yes. Erasmus+ Traineeships provide funding for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 months. The amount per month will depend on the chosen target country. Check out the Erasmus+ Traineeship funding chart per country.

Funded by EUSEPIE

Why should I participate?

It has been proven that students who participate in international mobility programmes are more and better prepared to face the current and future global world. Adecco, Primer Empleo, Universia.es, El Mundo and Finanzas.es, among others, highlight the importance of international experience for comprehensive personal and professional development. Check out the advantages of international mobility.

What other advantages does it have?

The main advantages are the following:

  • Grants
  • Free online language courses and the ability to assess your language progress
  • Option to include a mention in the Diploma Supplement (DS)

Where can I go?

Countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme.

How can I find a company in which to do my traineeship?

We recommend you make yourself stand out by telling the company that you can join them through the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme, which will help facilitate the administrative process

What should I bear in mind?

  • If you are interested in an internship abroad, contact the International Relations service (Barcelona Campus - exchange.bcn@uic.es) (Sant Cugat Campus - exchange.scu@uic.es) to apply for the Erasmus+ grant. Remember that it is not mandatory to have a confirmation from where you will do your internship at the time of your grant application.
  • As a recent graduate, you are no longer covered by student's insurance and will therefore need to purchase it or arrange it with the target company
