The second edition of the Entrepreneurship Summer Challenge School Calonge will take place from 29 June to 1 July. This an initiative launched jointly by the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) and the City Council of Calonge and Sant Antoni. This is a continuous training programme open to students who want to expand their knowledge in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity and communication strategies.
This initiative is the result of the framework agreement signed last year by both organisations with the objective of encouraging and promoting training in entrepreneurship, cultural management and architecture. In this second edition, the course is focused on the concept of the Smart City and will offer entrepreneurial proposals for their application in Calonge and Sant Antoni.
The course is held in Calonge and taught by UIC Barcelona lecturers, specialists in the field of communication, entrepreneurship and innovation. It was officially opened this morning by Jordi Soler, mayor of the City Council and Alfonso Méndiz, rector of the university.
Within the framework of this collaboration, the City Council and the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Transfer of UIC Barcelona (through the University Innovation Hub) launched the first training activity in July 2021 for people with undergraduate studies in Communication Sciences and postgraduate degrees, such as the University Master's Degree in Entrepreneurial Financing: Venture Capital and Private Equity, Master's Degree in Cultural Management, Master’s Degree in Architecture & Design Business Management, Master Executive in Advanced Analytics & Data Science, Master's Degree in Business Management and Production.
The Entrepreneurship Summer Challenge School Calonge by UIC Barcelona is just one of the initiatives that both institutions have jointly organised and developed. Our collaboration aims to promote other entrepreneurial actions in different theoretical and practical fields to raise awareness and promote the area of Calonge and Sant Antoni as entrepreneurial territory.
