2nd edition of the UIC Barcelona International SUCTI Workshop, aimed at UIC Barcelona staff
The Systemic University Change Towards Internationalization (SUCTI) is a project that aims to improve the internationalization of administrative and service personnel (PAS) in European universities
On 24 May, UIC Barcelona held the second edition of the International SUCTI Workshop, aimed at all the administrative and service staff of the university.
The session brought together a total of 19 attendees from different services and faculties of the Institution who, with the support of People Management, were given by Reetta Vilhelmiina Heikkinen and Alba Valle, from the International Relations Service, and Mònica Argemí, from the Department of Personal Development and Institutional Culture of UIC Barcelona.
As of this year's edition, 43 PAS members have now received training in order to better welcome international visitors, an important undertaking considering that currently 30% of UIC Barcelona students are international. This project is also carried out within the University's philosophy of placing the student at the centre, making their time here a very enriching experience.
The implementation of the SUCTI methodology in UIC Barcelona is part of various strategic projects at the university to promote “internationalisation from home”, such as the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programme, which is being implemented for both teachers and students.
