Áltima, which already collaborates with the UIC Barcelona WeCare Chair, and Truyols Funeral Services have signed a collaboration agreement with the university that provides to support the launch of the new Cuides UIC Barcelona. Each company, both leaders in their sector, have contributed €350,000 that will primarily be put towards the building and maintenance of the clinic’s facilities, which will offer support to patients with advanced diseases and palliative care to those in need. 

 

The Sant Cugat campus’ third university clinic will open its doors in 2021 and aims principally to support and provide comprehensive and high-quality care to patients with complex and progressive diseases, which cause their quality of life or emotional state to deteriorate and affect their family circumstances.  The clinic's experts will simultaneously develop numerous lines of research focused on care.
