Audiovisual Communication student Sandra Siles co-presents the Zapping Awards

The student won the Zapping Awards Young Presenter Competition and shared the stage with TVE professionals

The 27th edition of the Zapping Awards took place on Thursday, 12 May at the Caixaforum in Barcelona to award the best professionals, distributors and creators of audiovisual entertainment. On this occasion, one of the presenters of the event was Sandra Siles, third year student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication at UIC Barcelona, who shared the stage with Televisión Española professionals Silvia Tarragona and Rubén Urdiales.

Siles was chosen as the winner of the Zapping Awards Young Presenter Competition with her 50-second video demonstrating her communicative abilities and her enthusiasm to be part of the team of presenters and hosts of the gala. “I'm very happy. I think I will be able to learn a lot from professionals in the sector with this experience. (...) It is an introduction to the industry, and a small step on the way to my dream of a lifetime, which is to be a presenter,” said the young student.

In this edition of the Zapping Awards the audience vote and the final jury selection gave the award for Best Series to Money Heist; Maribel Verdú and Karra Elejalde won prizes for Best Actor; Crims as the Best Entertainment Programme; Carles Porta won Best Presenter and Órbita Laika was awarded the prize for Best Cultural Programme. Aragami 2 won the prize for Best Video Game locally produced and Adictos a la filosofía won for Best Internet Initiative.
