Bachelor’s Degree in Law, in accreditation process
The Bachelor’s Degree in Law is currently immersed in the accreditation process. This process is described in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU).
On 20 May, an external evaluation committee formed by AQU Catalunya will meet with representatives of the different interest groups of the degrees in order to evaluate the development of the degree programmes. In accordance with protocol approved by AQU Catalunya as a result of COVID-19, the visit will be conducted in a virtual format.
The purpose of the accreditation visit is:
- To ensure the quality of the academic programmes offered according to the levels of qualification established and the criteria of the regulations in force.
- To ensure the existence of valid and reliable information which helps the users of the university system make decisions.
- To facilitate the internal processes aimed at improving the quality of the programmes and services available at Catalan universities.
The self-evaluation prepared and presented during the accreditation process will be made available to the entire educational community on the UIC Barcelona Educational Quality website. Anyone interested can consult the report and make comments if they consider it appropriate. Comments can be made via the following email address: siqe@uic.es.
Because the accreditation visits are in virtual format, AQU Catalunya has made the following email address available to the entire university community: acreditacio@aqu.cat, so that any member may provide comments they consider appropriate on the development of qualifications.
