Business Management students can now study at the University of Michigan-Flint

The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences has signed a mobility agreement with this American university

Undergraduate Business Management students can now spend a semester studying at the University of Michigan-Flint. Thanks to the agreement entered into between the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences and the American university, UIC Barcelona students may also gain work experience in and around the city and earn a grant to cover the cost of housing.

Present at the signing of the framework agreement and specific agreement with the University of Michigan-Flint School of Management were the dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, Marta Mas; vice dean of the Faculty, Frederic Marimón; the director of the International Relations Service at UIC Barcelona, Isabel Pera; and Global Partnerships and Staff Mobility manager, Celia Martínez.

On behalf of the American university, the delegates who travelled to Barcelona included the chancellor of the University of Michigan-Flint, Dr Susan E. Borrego, and the director of the Education Abroad Office, Claus Weimann.

Among the University of Michigan-Flint’s strengths is the personal attention it offers students, with a teacher/student ratio of 15:1. In addition, the University of Michigan-Flint School of Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), an international body that recognises the world’s finest schools based on teaching quality at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level, as well as in research in the areas of business administration, accounting, finance and marketing.
