Carlos Espaliú Participates in Human Rights Course and 70th Anniversary of UNESCO in Geneva

Carlos Espaliú, a lecturer in the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Law and the Director of the Charlemagne Institute for European Studies, travelled to Geneva to participate in the 12th International Course on Human Rights, Ideas Change the World: The 70th Anniversary of UNESCO.

The summer course was coordinated by the UNESCO Chair in Democratic Citizenship and Cultural Freedom with the aim of focusing on and discussing some of the strategic lines designed to achieve UNESCO's global objectives (ensure a quality education for everyone, promote cultural diversity, etc.). 

Espaliú participated in a seminar to assess student work during the course and also sat in on a roundtable discussion titled “Person Centred: An Approach to Human Rights”. 

The summer course was organized by Collège Universitaire Henry Dunant in Geneva, the Universidad de Extremadura and the Universidad de La Rioja.
