Carlos Sancho Gargallo: «Bankruptcy Proceedings Not Always Successful»
Renowned lawyer and IESE Business School professor Carlos Sancho Gargallo participated in the continuing education programme in the UIC Faculty of Law on Thursday, 15 November 2012.
The lawyer, a founding member of the Sancho Vallet law firm,
addressed the recent reforms in the legal framework of bankruptcy proceedings.
He pointed out that, in spite of these reforms, companies are not always able
to come through the bankruptcy phase successfully.
Sancho Gargallo talked to the students about how the
bankruptcy process works in practice and highlighted the role of the commercial
court in concluding the process, even though in most cases, companies end up
going into liquidation.
