Clément Bodennec, a student in the Physiotherapy degree prgramme, and Inés Alonso, a student in the Medicine degree programme, the UIC Barcelona’s fastest at Unirun 2023
The race had more than 5,000 participants and UIC Barcelona was represented by 150 students, alumni, administration and services staff, teaching and research staff and UIC supporters
On 5 March, 150 UIC Barcelona representatives participated in the nineth edition of Unirun, the university race. Third year Physiotherapy student, Clément Bodennec, and fifth year Medicine student, Inés Alonso, had the best times for UIC Barcelona. Bodennec finished the race in 16 minutes 41 seconds while Alonso finished in 22 minutes 35 seconds.
The participants representing UIC Barcelona this year ran the Unirun with a special t-shirt sporting the University’s 25 years logo.
The Universitat de Barcelona won the Unirun 2023 Champions Cup with 294 points, followed by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in second place with 778 points, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona was third on the podium with 1,092 points.
The race was promoted by the ECU (Catalan University Sport) with the support of the General Secretariat of Sports and Physical Activity, the Barcelona City Council and the
Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council. The 2023 Unirun was sponsored by Adidas and the Gaudium Sports organisation.
