The CTAV hosts an exhibition of all projects by Ceramics Chair students recognised at the CevisamaLab Awards

As part of the exhibit’s inaugural event, lecturer Vicenç Sarrablo was invited to present the student projects that received an award in February

On 31 May, the Regional Association of Architects of Valencia (CTAV) inaugurated an exhibition of the projects honoured at the most recent edition of the Design Awards by CevisamaLab, which each year organises an international ceramics industry fair in Valencia.

The opening event included UIC Barcelona School of Architecture lecturer and director of the School’s Ceramics Chair, Vicenç Sarrablo, who was on hand to present the award-winning projects by students from the School, which was recognised for the 14th consecutive year at this international competition, one of the world’s most prestigious ceramics industry events.

“We’re extremely proud that the Regional Association of Architects of Valenica has taken an interest in our students’ award-winning projects, the aim of which is to promote synergies with the industrial sector associated with architectural construction”, declared Sarrablo.

In this edition, students Guillermo Marfà Permanyer and Ariadna Rodríguez de San Gregorio were proclaimed joint first-place winners in the “Ceramic Products” category. Another student, Kay Curtis, won second place in the “Semi-Dry Pressed Ceramic Products” category, in which the jury also decided to award runner-up honours to student Ignacio Morente-Gemas. Lastly, student Nieves Blackstad was also part of the team that created the award-winning projects, along with the previously mentioned Ignacio Morente and Guillermo Marfá.

The exhibition will be on display at the CTAV until 16 June.
