Department of Nursing Launches Three International Projects with University of Turku

During the week beginning Monday, 25 May 2015, Dr. Leena Salminen, a lecturer and researcher at the University of Turku in Finland (with which the UIC’s Department of Nursing has signed an agreement), gave a series of classes to students on the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Nursing and Master’s Degree Programme in Nursing Research and Health. She also participated in a work session with the department’s teaching staff, which led to the launch of three projects that the UIC Barcelona and the University of Turku have been planning together.

Two of the projects will focus on research into health education, while the third will focus exclusively on education. The research projects will centre on the study and comparison of cross-cutting competencies in the curriculums of Nursing degree programmes around Europe, while the third project will be implemented within the framework of the agreement involving the UIC Barcelona, the University of Turku and a number of other universities in Croatia, Lithuania and Cyprus.
