Dr. Bardallo Gives Presentation at 12th ALADEFE Conference

From Monday to Saturday, 9-14 September 2013 in Montevideo, Uruguay, Dr. Lola Bardallo, as the Spanish Coordinator of the Ibero-American Network of Research in Nursing Education (RIIEE), gave a presentation at the 12th Ibero-American Conference on Nursing Education, organized by the Latin American Association of Nursing Schools and Faculties (ALADEFE). Her paper, which opened the Fifth Symposium of Nursing Research, was about the presence of critical thinking in nursing.

In her presentation, Bardallo discussed the importance of training future professionals to think critically, a skill they need to make clinical decisions about nursing treatment.

The lecture was attended by more than 400 people representing approximately 30 Latin American nursing networks. As a result of the event held in Montevideo, the RIIEE was named an advisory group to the Pan-American Health Organization (OPS).
