Dr Espaliú participates in the Portuguese-Spanish Meeting for Professors of International Law
Dr Carlos Espaliú, one of our professors from the Faculty of Law, presented a paper at the VII Portuguese-Spanish Meeting for Professors of International Law and International Relation. The Meeting took place in Oeiras (Portugal) on 2 and 3 June 2017.
The Meeting was organised by the Faculty of Law at the Nova University of Lisbon in conjunction with the Faculty of Law at the University of Extremadura. The theme for this edition was “Non-State Actors in International Law”.
Over the two-day duration of the scientific meeting, papers were presented on the following three topics: “Non-State Actors of Religious Inspiration”; “The Role of Individuals and Non-Governmental Organisations in International Law” and “Economic Globalisation and Transnational Companies”.
Dr Espaliu presented a paper on a project on the scope of the initiative of European citizens as far as the international subjectivity of the individual is concerned. The paper gave an analysis of the project five years after it began.
