Dr Fuertes takes part in a symposium on dual education for teachers
The conference is part of the ARMIF research project
Dr María Teresa Fuertes, principal investigator on the project “Work-Linked Training: A Space for Research and the Construction of Professional Expertise” (ARMIF), recently participated in the 2nd Interuniversity Symposium on Dual Education in Teacher Training.
The symposium, which took place on 28 January at the University of Lleida, was organised as part of the ARMIF project, which collects data and lends value to the importance of dual education and/or work-linked training for trainee teachers. According to Dr Fuertes, “work-linked training shouldn’t simply imply a change of location”, going on to add that “it should be a basis for acquiring and integrating knowledge that enables teachers to engage in action research and construct their own identity as an educator”.
Other project participants include the University of Geneva, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the University of Lleida, which this year, according to the agreement, was charged with organising the event.
