Dr Gaston Gilabert was recently invited to the Bell-lloc school in Girona to give a conference on Quixote and the origin of the modern novel. 

During the talk, which took place on 5 June, the lecturer from the Faculty of Humanities gave an overview of the history of literary genres, focusing on the contributions of the book’s author, Miguel de Cervantes, to the universal novel.
