Entitled “New Wave of Implantology and Digital Dentistry”, the symposium brought together more than 1900 professionals who shared their experiences both in the teaching field and in relation to patient needs.  As a leading expert in implantology, Dr Federico Hernández-Alfaro, director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Faculty, gave a talk entitled "Bone Reconstruction in Implant Dentistry; Where do we stand now?”

The research team consisting of doctors Albert Barroso, Jordi Caballé, Basel Elnayef and Octavi Ortiz also participated in the symposium.  These professors from the International Master’s Degree in Oral Surgery programme were in charge of giving a theoretical-practical workshop entitled "Bone and Soft Tissue Reconstruction in Implant Dentistry".
