During his lecture, “Renaissance in Orthognathic Surgery”, Dr. Hernández Alfaro presented his lines of research in orthognathic surgery, primarily in the area of minimally invasive surgery and the Surgery First protocol. The innovative character of the latter proved particularly interesting to the participants.

The congress took place in Kiev and was attended by over 600 orthodontists and surgeons from a number of Eastern European countries. Dr. Hernández Alfaro’s fellow participants included Dr. Simonas Gybrauskas, from Lithuania, and Professor Roberto Justus, the President of the World Federation of Orthodontists, which unites orthodontists from all over the world.
