Dr Lluís Giner and Dr Manuel Ribera have now received the first copies of a book entitled “El odontólogo ante pacientes de riesgo”, a project they coordinated

Dr Lluís Giner, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Dr Manuel Ribera, director and professor of the Postgraduate Degree in Clinical Residency in Geriatric Dentistry, Special Patients and Medically Compromised Patients, recently received the first copies of the book entitled “El odontólogo ante pacientes de riesgo”. The book was published by the founders of DielBeats.

The publication was coordinated by Giner and Ribera and is the result of the work carried out by a team consisting of various UIC Barcelona professors. The team included Eulalia Anglada, professor of the Postgraduate degree in Clinical Residency in Geriatric Health, Special and Medically Compromised Patients; Jaume Llopis, professor of the Master's Degree in Dentistry Research, Cristina Porta, associate lecturer in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the Faculty, and Michel Zabalza, professor of cardiology in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

“El odontólogo ante pacientes de riesgo” is divided into four chapters. These are: dentistry treatment in patients with cardiological affectations and devices; oral surgery in patients taking anticoagulation medications or antiplatelet drugs; cardiological action in diabetic patients, and dental treatment for women during their lactation period or while pregnant.

The book was sponsored by Lacer and published by DielBeats.
