Dr Marta Trapero-Bertrán participates in the TackSHS European Project

Dr Marta Trapero-Bertrán, a Professor and Researcher in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences participates as a researcher in a project entitled "Tackling secondhand tobacco smoke and e-cigarette emissions: exposure assessment, novel interventions, impact on lung diseases and economic burden in diverse European populations" (TackSHS) (http://tackshs.eu/).

TackSHS is a new research project funded by the Horizon 2020 EU Research and Innovation Programme. The aim behind TackSHS is to improve our knowledge of the impact of smoking on the health of passive smokers and the impact of electronic cigarettes and find ways to deal with the health-related consequences caused by these aerosols.

This four-year project, which began in 2015, brings together the main European Tobacco Research Centres so they can work together, from a global and integrated perspective, in order to generate a significant change in knowledge about passive smoking and electronic cigarettes.
