Dr. Racionero in Bilbao Analyses Successful Education Measures in Europe

Dr. Sandra Racionero, a professor in the Faculty of Education, gave a lecture at the 10th International Congress of the Fundación Nuevas Claves Educativas: Ingredientes para la Educación 10 (Foundation for New Fundamentals in Education: Ingredients for a Quality Education) held in Bilbao on Friday, 4 and Saturday, 5 October 2013.

During her lecture, “Successful education measures in Europe”, Racionero analysed the education measures that have been implemented in Europe’s most successful education centres.

Research has shown these measures to be effective in reducing educational failure and improving coexistence in all contexts. The lecturer spoke in detail about four of these educational interventions, their theoretical bases and evidence of their impact. Specifically, she discussed measures like interactive groups, literary discussion groups, extended apprenticeships and the training of family members.

The congress, organized by the Fundación Nuevas Claves Educativas (Foundation for New Fundamentals in Education), was attended by about 400 lecturers and included presentations by Ewan McIntosh, Carol McGuinness and Victoria Bergsagel.
