Dr. Xavier Rodríguez Ciurana, a lecturer in Surgery, has given papers at international conferences in Verona and Mexico City.
At the 16th edition of the International Conference on Implant Therapy, organized by the company Biomax in Verona, Italy, Dr. Rodríguez gave a paper entitled “From Platform Switching to Vertical Preparation”. Other subjects tackled at the conference included the role currently played by technological innovation in guaranteeing clinical excellence in the treatment and accessibility of implants. Homage was also paid at the event to Dr. Giampaolo Vincenzi, in recognition of his contribution to raising awareness of implant therapy.
Dr. Rodríguez also gave a paper at the International Symposium on Oral Implantology, which was organized by the companies Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Biomet 3 and took place at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. A variety of new and ongoing topics in the world of oral implantology were tackled. In addition to Dr. Rodríguez, the high-profile speakers included Drs. Niklaus P. Lang and Hans- Peter Weber from Switzerland, Drs. Edmond Bedrossian and Sascha A. Jovanovic from the United States and Dr. Xavier Vela from Spain.
