Dr Serrano takes part in symposium on the history of law to mark the hundredth anniversary of Eduardo de Hinojosa's death
De Hinojosa was the founder of the field of the history of law and the institutions in Spain
Lecturer at the Faculty of Law Josep Serrano took part in a symposium organised by the University of Granada on 9–10 May 2019. The event was held in the city of Granada and in the town of Alhama de Granada to commemorate the hundredth year anniversary of the death of Dr Eduardo de Hinojosa Naveros (1852–1919), born in Alhama and the founder of the field of the history of law and the institutions in Spain. Titled "The History of Law in the Hundred Years since Eduardo de Hinojosa", the event was organised by the Santos Bartomeu and Santiago College of the University of Granada to ponder the past, present and future of the field.
Faculties of law from the following universities were present: Granada, UNED Spanish distance university, Complutense in Madrid, Murcia, Miguel Hernández in Elche, Alicante, Girona, Salamanca, Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Santiago de Compostela, Cordoba, Pompeu Fabra and UIC Barcelona.
