Dr Xavier Garí de Barbarà reflects on the incredible oddities in the history of humanity
The lecturer from the Faculty of Humanities at UIC Barcelona gave a talk at the Athenaeum in Sant Cugat on the most unknown facts in contemporary history
“Stories from the shadows: incredible oddities in the history of humanity”, Dr Xavier Gari de Barbarà, a lecturer from the Faculty of Humanities at UIC Barcelona, reflected on some of the secrets history keeps during a talk in the Athenaeum in Sant Cugat.
The event was also used to inaugurate a course called “History: The start of the XX century and the First World War (1900-1920)” which will take place in the Atheneum and will be taught by Garí de Barbarà himself. The lecturer from the Faculty will also lead a reading group called “Books that change history” in the same location.
Xavier Garí de Barbarà is a doctor in Contemporary History from the UAB and holds a master’s degree in Comparative History. He is currently doing research on the History of Peace.
