Thanks to the teaching exchange with lecturers from Palacký University in the Czech Republic, led by Mariana Fuentes (who lectures in the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Education), both universities have established opportunities for collaboration in relation to research and Erasmus exchanges.
Fuentes travelled to the Czech Republic in order to introduce the UIC Barcelona and its Faculty of Education to the students of Palacký University. She also took the opportunity to establish research links with the Czech institution and informed students that they would be able to visit her faculty as part of an Erasmus exchange visit.
A few weeks after her visit, several lecturers from Palacký University came to Barcelona to visit the UIC. They took the opportunity to give a class on art therapy to first-year students from the Preschool programme and first- and second-year students from the Primary School programme.
Additionally, they gave a presentation to Faculty of Education staff on Palacký University and, like Fuentes, discussed the possibilities for collaboration between the two institutions with regard to research and teaching activities.
