ESARQ Student Wins National School Leavers' Prize
Marta Delgado Lombardo, who is currently in her first year of the UIC's Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, has been awarded the National School Leavers' Prize by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
The exam for the prize was conducted in December 2012 and was taken by some 100 of the best students from across Spain. Based on their results, the top 15 qualified for awards.
Delgado previously won the Catalan government's Extraordinary School Leavers' Prize, which she was presented with by the Catalan Minister for Education, Irene Rigau, on Wednesday, 17 October 2012.
As Delgado herself explained, her decision to study at the ESARQ was fuelled by her awareness of the faculty's values. These include a focus on subjects directly geared towards serving society (such as cooperation, accessibility and sustainability), a commitment to fostering one-to-one interaction between teachers and students, and the opportunity to attend classes taught in English throughout the programme.
