The Experience Campus obtains Erasmus+ accreditation for adult education

This resolution will enable the Campus to request funding for mobility and cooperation activities with other European universities with the aim of improving and increasing the internationalisation of the Senior University Graduate Programme in Culture, Science and Society offered by the Campus

On Friday 11 February, the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE) published the final resolution of applications for Key Action 1 (Educational Mobility of Individuals in the Adult Education Sector).

This resolution corresponds to the call for proposals of the Erasmus+ 2021 programme and is valid until 2027, at which point the accreditation will be reviewed again. As such, this resolution allows the Experience Campus to request funding for mobility and cooperation activities with other European universities with the aim of improving and internationalising the Senior University Graduate Programme in Culture, Science and Society it offers.

The funds the Campus will receive will be entirely destined to developing and implementing its internationalisation plan, the main objectives of which are:

  • To establish contact and strengthen ties with prestigious international universities in adult learning. The hope is that these relations will lead to the sharing of good practices between institutions, the exchange of ideas on these universities’ teaching activities, as well as possibilities for the exchange of teaching staff and students.
  • To publicise the plan among the University's teaching and research staff in order to increase the internationalisation of all the activities offered by the Experience Campus.
  • To explore different options for carrying out joint activities or collaborative work between students from other universities. These activities would encompass student placements at these European institutions.
  • As a final phase, the Experience Campus aims to present a Cooperation Project with the top European universities in adult education.

About the Erasmus accreditation

This type of accreditation ensures the capacity of educational institutions to develop high-quality mobility activities that serve to enhance the organisation.

To obtain accreditation, organisations must design a structured, long-term plan, called the Erasmus Plan, in order to plan placements that have a positive impact on their internal teaching and learning processes. The accreditation lasts for seven years and can be updated at different times.
