On 15 January 2015, UIC Barcelona's Faculty of Communication Sciences and the Association of Communication and Public Relations Consultancy Companies (ADECEC) signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of bringing the daily reality of professionals from the sector into closer contact with students and research projects. 

Based on this cooperation agreement, UIC students can benefit from seminars, conferences and postgraduate courses, hand in hand with the largest association which represents the main public relations consultancy companies in Spain. The university will also cooperate with ADECEC to undertake scientific and research programmes, as well as provide mutual guidance in relation to planning, organising and carrying out studies and research projects.  At the same time ADECEC will cooperate with the UIC to edit publications that are mutually interesting for both institutions. 

The agreement between UIC Barcelona's Faculty of Communication Sciences and ADECEC will further improve the relationship that the university maintains with the main public relations consultancy companies which exist in our country.  The agreement was signed by Ms Teresa García Cisneros, President of the Association of Communication and Public Relations Consultancy Companies, and Dr Pere Alavedra i Ribot, Rector of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.
