The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya’s (UIC) Faculty of Dentistry teamed up with Straumann, a company specializing in restorative and regenerative dentistry and dental implants, to hold a course on Reconstructive Surgery with Implants. This hands-on course using animal models and cadavers took place from Wednesday to Saturday, 15-18 October 2014, at the UIC’s Surgical and Functional Anatomy Laboratory on the Sant Cugat campus.

The course was attended by a total of 20 implantologists, who were interested in incorporating reconstructive procedures into their day-to-day practice. A number of different procedures were presented during the course and participants had the opportunity to get some hands-on practice, first with animal models and then with cadavers.
