On Friday, 1 May, the Periodontics department of UIC Barcelona School of Dentistry organised an online event focusing on three main themes in Periodontics and Dental Implants: Regeneration, mucogingival and periimplantitis. At the event, various lecturers gave talks and discussed a variety of questions that arise during clinical practice in relation to these topics.

 

The aim of the initiative was to show multiple approaches to the same treatment within the three areas discussed. “The aim is to learn from each other, by sharing our clinical approaches and showing that the same treatment can be resolved in many ways,” explains Dr Rodrigo González, lecturer at the Faculty. 

 

The event was moderated by Dr José Nart and Dr Andrés Pascual. Dr Javier Mora, Dr Matteo Albertini, Dr Gonzalo Blasi and Dr Alberto Monje, together with Dr Vanessa Ruiz-Magaz, Dr Lucía Barallat, Dr Neus Carrió, Dr Cristina Vallés and Dr Beatriz de Tapia, all teaching staff from the Faculty, gave the various lectures. The event was well received and was attended by more than 600 online participants. Dr José Nart noted “In this way, the team of lecturers in the area of Periodontics contribute to the training and communication in Periodontics and Implantology internationally.”
