Faculty of Dentistry, MIS Ibérica and MIS Implants Create New Chair in Dental Implants

UIC Barcelona’s Faculty of Dentistry has signed a three-year collaboration agreement with MIS Ibérica and MIS Implants Technologies Ltd, leading companies in the development of dental implants, to create the new Chair of Research on MIS Implant Design, which aims to promote knowledge and research on implantology, specifically in the area of implants.

Supervised by Dr. Federico Hernández Alfaro, a lecturer and researcher at UIC Barcelona, this new chair will research implants and their clinical applications through several clinical trials. They will also promote students’ and teachers' knowledge of implants through courses and workshops.

The agreement was signed at the International Dental Show (IDS), one of the world's most important dentistry events, held in Cologne from Tuesday to Saturday, 10-14 March 2015.
