The first edition of the Postgraduate Degree in Leadership and School Management concludes

The Faculty of Education recently closed the first edition of the Postgraduate degree in Leadership and School Management.  Most of the students attended the event.  Dr Mireia Tintoré, director of the postgraduate programme, spoke a few words of thanks to attendees and gave them a small gift to remind them of their time in our classrooms.

In this first edition, two of the students were directors of semi-private schools with many years of experience.  Students with experience of middle management positions also participated in the degree programme, particularly those with a lot of experience in the world of teaching.

In the closing speech, Professor Tintoré underlined that fact that during the course a “professional and cooperative environment which was not at all competitive was created, despite the effort and desire all the students had to do things well throughout the programme”.

The main objective behind the Postgraduate degree in Leadership and School Management is to ground management in schools based on the idea of providing a service to people and to society, encouraging people to become leaders who are real agents of change and are capable of successfully dealing with the new challenges of the Knowledge Society.
