The first edition of the Seeing is Reading International Short Film Award gets under way
The Faculty of Communication Sciences and the specialised journalism agency Aceprensa have launched this festival with a view to promoting a passion for reading among young people
The Faculty of Communication Sciences at UIC Barcelona and the specialised journalism agency Aceprensa are kicking off the first edition of the Seeing is Reading International Short Film Award, an initiative aimed at both national and international university students from 18 to 25 years old, with the aim of promoting a passion for reading among young people.
Under the title Seeing is Reading, the competition will award the three audiovisual creations that best highlight the values of reading in a creative way. Participants will be required to produce a short film where a passion for reading is at the heart of the story, and submit their entry before 4 September 2020.
A selection committee consisting of members of Aceprensa and the Faculty of Communication Sciences will pre-select those nominated for the Award and a jury of specialists from the audiovisual sector and prestigious professionals will then choose the winning entry.
Both the participation rules and more information about the competition can be found on the competition’s webpage.
