Former student Jose Parcerisa, production manager on Timecode, winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes
Former Audiovisual Communication student Jose Parcerisa worked as production manager on the short film Timecode, winner of the Cannes Film Festival's Palme d'Or on Sunday 22 May 2016.
The film was produced by Pere Altimira, Daniel Villanueva and Arturo Méndiz, a professor in the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
Juanjo Giménez, the short film's director, is the first Spanish person to win the Palme d'Or in the festival's best short film category. With this award, Giménez becomes just the second Spanish recipient of the Palme d'Or after Luis Buñuel, who won this distinction in the feature-length film category with the film Viridiana.
Timecode was one of the ten projects selected from among 5,008 prospective candidates to participate in the short film category at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
