Four doctoral students receive the AGAUR FI 2020 grants
UIC Barcelona has secured four predoctoral grants as part of the FI 2020 call from the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR), which will allow them to recruit new research staff.
The beneficiaries of this grants are three doctoral students from the Department of Basic Sciences, Marina Perpiñán, Lídia Romero and Ana Cristina Reguera, and one doctoral student from the Department of Nursing, Blanca Goñi.
The grants are reserved for universities, research centres and hospital foundations with a view to facilitating the recruitment of new research staff and promoting the quality of research. The grants will allow these institutions to incorporate research groups and fund competitive research projects, as well as helping the students finance their doctoral studies over the next three years.
UIC Barcelona has managed to secure these grants for the second year running, receiving one more than in 2019. The call for these grants is financed by the General Directorate of Research (DGR) of the Secretariat for Universities and Research in the Ministry of Business and Knowledge, and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
