UIC Barcelona lecturers José Antonio González (Faculty of Dentistry), Natalia Rico (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences), Jordi Caballé (Faculty of Dentistry) and Jordi Roviras (UIC Barcelona School of Architecture) participated in the “Advanced programme in entrepreneurship with a scientific basis Impulsa-Llavor 2019” between May and November 2019. It was organised by the Secretariat for Universities and Research in the Government of Catalonia.  

The training programme was divided into six modules and followed the I-CORPS and Lean Startup Methodologies for the development of innovative projects.  The participants were organised into working teams and each of them were assigned their own mentors with the aim of developing a full business plan.  

On 13 December, the Auditorium at the Secretariat for Universities and Research in the Government of Catalonia hosted the closing session, which included a round table in which lecturer Jordi Roviras took part in order to evaluate participation in the programme.  At the end of the session, all of the participants received their accreditation diplomas from Dr Joan Gómez, general director for Research in the Government of Catalonia and Francisco Javier Lafuente, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Strategic Projects at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. 

Our participation in this training programme is due to UIC Barcelona obtaining four grants from the Llavor Industry of Knowledge programme run by the Government of Catalonia.
