GAES helps improve the quality of life of patients at Cuides UIC Barcelona
Both organisations join forces to create synergies and add value to the services offered by the new university clinic specialising in palliative care
UIC Barcelona and GAES, una marca Amplifon, a leading multinational in the field of hearing impairment solutions in Spain, have signed a collaboration agreement to improve the quality of life of patients, family members and the team at Cuides UIC Barcelona with hearing impairment.
Both organisations share a commitment to society and people and have joined forces to offer solutions to the hearing needs of patients at the Cuides UIC Barcelona clinic. As a result, the new university clinic will add value to the services it currently offers, focusing on the individual and their environment and always aimed at providing comprehensive, active and personalised care.
GAES, through its Social Area, offers patients and their families free hearing tests, as well as hearing aids, communication systems, hearing protection, cochlear implants and other services with special conditions designed for this collective. The company has also donated an intercom to Cuides UIC Barcelona to help care for patients with hearing difficulties.
The agreement has been officially signed at the University’s Barcelona Campus, in the presence of the Rector of UIC Barcelona, Dr Alfonso Méndiz, and the director of GAES’ Social Area, Obdulio Herrera.
