Great show of talent in the 6th edition of Filmmaking, with ‘La Casa de Papel’ winning best project
The students of the bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication presented their remakes of mythical scenes of films and TV series
The 6th edition of Filmmaking took place last Tuesday, 14 June in the Aula Jardí of UIC Barcelona and once again screened the remakes of mythical scenes created by the students of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication. Throughout the course, the students took on the role of directors, producers, cameras and actors to recreate some of the most famous scenes of great television and film productions.
The rector, Alfonso Méndiz, and the dean of the Faculty, Rebeca Pardo were present at this new edition with screenings of versions of Trainspotting, Bruce Almighty, Pulp Fiction, La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) and The Full Monty. The students completed the projects under the supervision of lecturer Geoffrey Cowper, film director and course coordinator.
A new feature this year was the awarding of three prizes for the best project, through a live voting system that the audience completed via a QR code. The initiative was introduced by the students themselves, and awarded Money Heist, directed by Xiao Verdeguer, as best remake; The Full Monty, also by Xiao Verdeguer, was best making-of; and Miquel Cozzarin won best actor in the role of the Professor in Money Heist.
