Humanities faculty students portray Holmes and Watson in theatrical adaptation of short stories by Carlos Pujol
The plays were created as part of the conference held on 16 December last year to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of the Catalan writer
Students from the Faculty of Humanities became actors for a few days and filmed the theatre adaptation of some of Carles Pujol’s short stories starring Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. These adaptations, which were created as part of the conference held on 16 December to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of the writer (Barcelona, 1936-2012), were filmed and recorded as four short videos.
The conference Escribir, verbo reflexivo. La literatura según Carlos Pujol was a tribute aimed at celebrating the legacy of the Catalan writer and essayist. In addition to expert presentations, the sessions included a theatrical representation by students who performed four sketches for the audience.
The adaptations were filmed on the set of UIC Barcelona and are available in virtual format:
“Somos o no somos”
“La ficción”
“John Watson y el arte de escribir”
“Caballeros andantes”
