The Institute, present at the 38th Conference on Health Economics
The purpose of the conference, organised by the Health Economics Association, was to provide guidelines to make health systems more efficient.
Dr Toni Mora and researchers Celia Muñoz, Borja García and Ana Magdalena Vargas from the Research Institute for Evaluation and Public Policies presented their work at the 38th Conference on Health Economics, which took place from 20-22 June in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and in which Marta Trapero-Bertran served as president of the Scientific Committee.
The aim of the conference was to discuss and respond to the main challenges inherent in giving voice to the agents involved in public health, with a view to exploring the changes required to create a system in which interaction and coordination are the norm. “Professional success is always based on processes supported by shared and team decisions”, admits Marta Trapero.
Another objective of this edition was to boost the local population’s commitment to improving public health in the Canary Islands and to find tools that ensure efficient health systems.
