Jose M. Martínez-Sánchez has published his first book sharing key strategies to developing effective and exciting research

Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences and Head of the Health Determinants and Health Policy Assessment Research Group, Martínez-Sánchez has recently published the book The Code of Science (El Código de la Ciencia), aimed at health professionals

In this thesis, Martinez-Sánchez aims to help health professionals who want to develop their academic and research careers. “From my personal experience as a researcher and teacher, I wanted to share with colleagues in the health field those key methods and skills that are essential for growth in our work, but that are not explained during graduate and postgraduate training,” says the author.

With a friendly and informal style, The Code of Science seeks to motivate health professionals to develop research in an effective way while still enjoying the process. Through his personal and professional experience, Martínez-Sánchez offers tips and clues in this book that will enable the reader to easily acquire the skills needed to begin doing research in the health field, publish scientific results and enjoy their career along the way.

Jose M. Martínez-Sánchez is an epidemiologist, Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of UIC Barcelona, and Head of the Research Group on the Evaluation of Health Determinants and Health Policy.
