The Quaderns de polítiques familiares journal, edited by the Institute of Advanced Family Studies at UIC Barcelona, is now indexed on the RACO (Catalan Journals with Open Access), Dialnet, MIAR, Academia Plus, Dulcinea and Latindex portals. This publication receives support from the Childcare and Family Policies Chair, an initiative set up the Institute itself with cooperation from the Joaquim Molins Figueras Foundation.

RACO is a cooperative repository from which full articles from Catalan scientific journals can be accessed via open access, and Dialnet is the largest database of European research portals. MIAR gathers key information for the identification and analysis of journals; Academia Plus (EBSCO) provides products and services to libraries of many types worldwide; then there is Spanish portal Dulcinea and Latindex, which disseminates information on serial scientific publications produced in Ibero-America.

The Institute of Advanced Family Studies is the first university institute in Spain to promote the study and research of family policies, and the journal is now available in various national and international databases.

The content of the seventh issue of this publication is currently being worked on and the content creation process is open to cooperation from any interested authors. The editing guidelines can be found on the website. The Quaderns journal is peer reviewed.
