In
his speech, Ignacio Sancho Gargallo
addressed the legal treatment of the insolvency of common debtors, a highly
topical issue due to the crisis currently affecting Spain.

The
speaker analysed the Insolvency Act, both in terms of the corporate debtor and
the common debtor, and highlighted the reasons for the low rate of insolvency among
individuals in Spain. The judge also illustrated his talk with examples from
his experience of practising law.

The
Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences organized this session with the aim of
bringing students closer to the workplace through the judge's experiences and
thus helping them achieve a better understanding of the subject of insolvency.
