The UIC Barcelona Faculty of Humanities lecturer, Bernat Torres, will continue as secretary of the Catalan Society of Philosophy, after the organisation's General Assembly renewed his post at a recent ordinary session. This will be Torres’ third term as the Society’s secretary, which in this new phase will be presided over by Conrad Vilanou.

The lecturer explained that the Catalan Society of Philosophy will continue to “strive to make sure philosophy written in Catalan and in Catalonia is circulated and promoted to the maximum”.

The Catalan Society of Philosophy, a branch of the Institute of Catalan Studies affiliated to the Philosophy and Social Sciences Section, aims to cultivate all aspects of philosophical disciplines, carry out historical research into reflection from Catalonia and elsewhere, and to disseminate philosophical works and research.
