Cibeles Moreno, a lecturer in the Department of Nursing at UIC Barcelona, has received funding from the Official College of Nursing of Barcelona (COIB) for an initiative that aims to empower chronic patients in managing their condition. This project is part of Moreno’s thesis, co-directed by Dr Callista Roy and Dr Albert Gallart. Professor Moreno has spent a year at Boston College, working on the theoretical framework with Dr Callista Roy, author of Roy’s Adaption Model. Other teaching staff from the university’s departments of Nursing and Public Health also worked on the project presented to the COIB.
