Belda is a lecturer in both the Biomedical Sciences and Bioengineering degrees at UIC Barcelona. In the book, he and Montañola highlight the need to be aware of the opportunities and challenges arising from the crucial role that science and technology currently have at all levels. The authors call for us to act appropriately to prevent benefits for the few from generating conflict for the many, and to reflect on the importance of establishing a legal system that can determine how our economies will progress over the next 50 years.
Belda is a computer engineer, holds a PhD in artificial intelligence applied new drug design, and is a PhD candidate in economics and fiscal law. He is currently CEO of MiWEndo and senior advisor to LLYC.
